Broadway Musicals     Thanks to the St. John's PTC, Mrs. Bingle, Mrs. Frey, and Miss Walter the Drama Club was started in the 2005-2006 school year. Mrs. Bingle said, "We started the program to give students the TRUE experience of performing in the theatre: rehearsals, sets, lights, makeup costumes... the works! I am a St. John alumnus, and I remeber being involved in High School plays/musicals with classmates who performed shows like this at the middle school level, and I didn't have that opportunity here. Thanks to the St. John PTC, and their former treasurer Mary, we were able to receive funding to begin our drama program in the 2005-2006 school year. We are now a self sufficient organization, and our funding comes from our ticket sales from the previous year." We also asked Mrs. Bingle what her future goals for the program were and she responded, "I would love to see this wonderful opportunity for our students to continue to grow and for this to be the event that our whole school looks forward to every spring. I would also love for our greater parish and Harrison community to know about us, and come out to see our show as well. These performances are not just our school community, but for everyone in the area, and we need to publicize that."
